High Impact Training Platform & Pakistan's first Social Entrepreneurship for Peacebuilding Incubator

Our success stories since 2013


Over 3,000 youth received social entrepreneurship orientation and 480 youth benefited from the social entrepreneurship pre-incubation training from the ICx & SEPLAA Foundation team in Bahawalpur under the Umeed Jawan project in South Punjab and under ICx in Lahore.



The Pioneer ICx Incubation Cycle was held in January 2014 followed by 8 incubation cycles in Bahawalpur and another one with women with SEW-EGAP in Lahore, creating over 11,000 indirect beneficiaries until January 2015.



At least 16 new social enterprises have been created over just 9 months in South Punjab and 5 projects have been incubated and accelerated in Lahore since 2013. Incubatees have made a great effort to contribute to their communities through their projects.


ICx is proud to be the first Pakistani non academic incubator to have an outreach in urban Lahore and Rural South Punjab. Incubatees have been from both privileged backgrounds in Lahore and Bahawalpur to underprivileged backgrounds in South Punjab.

ICx SEPLAA is a high impact result oriented training platform and a unique social entrepreneurship incubator for change makers who can create social enterprises with the global vision of promoting peace through innovation and IT.

The Impact Change Xcelerator (ICx) SEPLAA has been exclusively designed to build the capacity of companies, organizations and government entities. It also caters to youth, women and professionals who want to either scale up their existing social enterprise or execute an idea to create their own social enterprise.

ICx SEPLAA's vision is to promote the idea of social entrepreneurship amongst youth, women and professionals with the intention that once there is economic empowerment, it not only creates economic opportunities but also fills a social gap through IT, thereby increasing the inclination towards maintaining building peace in the region.

Dr. Ruth Zaplin

ICx Seplaa International Mentor, Executive-in-Residence, American University
Dr. Ruth Zaplin is an Executive-in-Residence in the School of Public Affairs, at American University (AU). She is one of only 60 researchers in the US certified to score the subject-object qualitative research methodology developed at Harvard University.

Ammara Farooq Malik

With over 23 years’ experience of academia, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and the development sector, Ms. Ammara has presented and received awards at various forums and conferences in New York, Washington DC, Minneapolis, Duhok (Iraq), Colombo and Maldives.

Barrister Ahmad F. Malik

ICx Seplaa Senior Law Mentor, Chief Legal Officer, Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab
Barrister Ahmad Farooq Malik was part of the initial teams of Plan 9 Tech Incubator and the ICx Seplaa Incubato. He has indepth knowledge and experience of guiding businesses about the various options available for forming legal entities under the Pakistani law, covering aspects such as IT laws, intellectual property rights and corporate laws.

Zahra Wyne

ICx Seplaa Diversity Head, Co Founder Sewegap Women Hub, Founder ‘Smiling Through Disability’ Project
Zahra has over 13 years’ experience of working in IT, development, social enterprise development and incubation management. In 2015 she was selected for the Australia Awards for a course on Incubation Management. She developed over 20 websites for Southern Punjab social enterprises under Creative Associates International.

Mr. Sajjad Kirmani has been associated with ICx Seplaa and Plan 9 along with being the CEO of Infogistics.

Dr. Angela Movileanu

ICx Seplaa International Mentor, CEO Open Think Tank Iraq. Researcher Center for Research & Studies in Sociology, Lisbon, Portugal
Dr. Movileanu is a comparative politics expert and has worked extensively in peacebuilding in Iraq under the University of Duhok and Open Think Tank Iraq. Currently she is also a researcher at the Center for Research and Studies in Sociology (ISCTE) Lisbon, Portugal

Katarzyna Szutkowski

Katarzyna Szutkowski holds an MS in Global Affairs and Human Rights from the New York University. She has worked as a Peacebuilding Consultant at the SEPLAA Foundation, US Chapter from 2011-2014. She has presented in international conferences in Iraq, US and online in Pakistan.

Osman Cakiroglu

Osman Cakiroglu has an MBA from International University of Japan ’03, certificate in NGO Financial Stewardship from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education program in 2016, and is currently a student at the UPenn’s Executive Program in Social Impact Strategy. He is the Co-Founder of Tanuki Social Benefit & Innovation Consulting and a mentor in the Wise Learners Program of Qatar Foundation.
